November 2026: What's Happening at FCC

Get ready for a busy November at FCC! Daylight Saving Time ends on Sunday, November first. You should set your clocks back one hour sometime before you go to bed Saturday night, but don't use that as an excuse to stay up an extra hour. The fall time change is easier on you biologically, compared to the spring change, so you can't use it as an excuse to be late for church!
Elders for the month of November will be Ruth Howard and Rick Strunk. Deacons will be Alex Patterson, Bob Bales, Hilary Baker, and Zoie Burke.
Sunday, November 1st is All Saints Day at FCC. The first Sunday in November is the day we remember all those who have passed into heaven since the previous All Saints Day. We will read out each name, light a candle, and ring a bell during the morning worship service. Please submit applicable names of your loved ones to the church office to make sure they will be on the list.
We will also have an elders meeting on November 1st.
Bailee asks that all donations for the Operation Christmas Child boxes be in by November first. Ask her what they still need, although cash is always a good idea.
On Wednesday, November 4th, Faith Quest will have a packing party to get the Operation Christmas Child boxes ready for shipment, beginning at 5:30. Adults are invited, too!
The monthly board meeting will be on Sunday, November 8th.
After the church service on November 22nd, we will break out the Christmas decorations for the sanctuary. Stay and help, and enjoy pizza for lunch!
Thanksgiving Day is November 26th. The FCC office will be closed.
November 29th is the first Sunday of Advent, and the Hanging of the Greens. Join us for a joyous opening to the Christmas season!

Looking ahead to December, the annual Christmas Organ Concert will be held on Tuesday, December first. Yes, it's traditionally on a Monday, but we moved it to accommodate the schedules of our performers. The concert will feature several guest organists plus our own musicians, with a reception afterward with a spread of yummy Christmas treats.
The annual FCC Christmas Bazaar and Luncheon will take place on Saturday, December 5th. We are gathering items for the silent auction and for raffle prizes during the month of November, so get those in as soon as possible. The ladies of the church have raffle tickets if you want to get yours early. Vendors, call the FCC office to reserve your table.
The Faith Quest Lock-In will be all night on Friday, December 18th. Celebrate the beginning of the school break with FCC!
This schedule will be updated if changes occur.
