The biggest event happening at FCC this month is Vacation Bible School, and underneath the surface, we are also gearing up for some exciting things for the rest of the year. We are in the beginning stages of raising funds for a new church sign. Our entire youth program is undergoing a revamp, and we will unveil the plans as soon as they are set, or at least before school starts. We are looking forward to Deb Tibbs' return to church events, although we don't know when that will be. Meanwhile, call her and arrange to visit. Pastor Tibbs will begin a new series of sermons that will address suffering and heartbreak, based on scripture taken from the first epistle of Peter.

Elders for the month of July will be Mike Lewis and Ruth Howard. The serving deacons will be Robert Bales, Chris Strunk, Joyce Brown, and Zoie Burke.

Sunday July 5th, there will be an elder's meeting after church.

Sunday, July 12th, there will be a board meeting after church. Remember, board meetings are open to the entire congregation, even though voting is limited to board members. You don't have to wait in the hallway for your lunch companions.

July 22nd through the 24th are the dates for our 2026 Vacation Bible School. Sessions will meet each day from 10 until noon. Volunteers are needed! Look for more information to follow.

Later in July, we will be planning our Nibroc fundraiser, which means signing up volunteers to man the parking lot during the festival. We don't charge for parking, but we accept donations, which will go to our youth programs. It's the easiest help you can give, so when the schedule comes out, sign up for a two-hour shift according to your availability.

Looking ahead to August: Faith Quest will begin on Wednesday nights when Corbin schools are back in session. Adult Bible study will resume as well, as we continue to study the book of Romans. We will be looking for volunteers to provide a meal each week for the children. Adults are invited too, and we ask for a dinner donation to help cover costs.
