With school out and people traveling, June is the quietest time of the year at FCC. Wednesday night Bible study and Faith Quest are on hiatus until August. It's a good time for reflection and planning for the rest of the year. One of the things we are working on is a revamp of our youth programs, which we are all excited about -more details to come. We have also decided to purchase a new, digital sign to replace the marquee. A vendor and price have yet to be determined, but we will need donations, pledges, and ideas for fundraisers. We will order the sign when half the cost has been secured, and continue fundraising afterward.

Debbie Tibbs is going home Friday (May 29) after several months of rehab and therapy following her knee replacement disaster. Pastor Tibbs is therefore taking his vacation to help her settle in. The homecoming is a blessing, but we may need volunteers to help out while she is getting back to normal life. Meanwhile, when you are outside enjoying the warm weather and the flourishing of nature, take time to appreciate God's gift of this beautiful world we live in.
Sunday school this month is a group discussion on the book of Acts, and it's been both informative and inspiring so far. Join us Sunday mornings at 9:30.
Elders for the month of June are Mike Lewis and Denise Holly. Deacons are John and Hilary Baker, Jerry Blankenship, and Audrey Mahan.
Sunday, June 7th: Associate Pastor Ronnie Mitchell is scheduled to bring the sermon. There will be an elders meeting after worship service.
Sunday, June 14th will be an old-fashioned congregational singing service. Look up the number of your favorite hymn and be ready to suggest it! There will be a board meeting after the worship service.
Sunday, June 21st is Fathers Day. Pastor Tibbs will return to the pulpit.
Looking ahead to July, Pastor Tibbs tells us he is working on a new series of sermons that will address suffering and heartbreak, based on scripture taken from the first epistle of Peter.
This calendar will be updated as necessary.
