February is the shortest month, and often the cruelest month weather-wise, but to make up for it, people have filled it with holidays. There will be Groundhog Day, Super Bowl Sunday, Valentine's Day, Lunar New Year, Mardi Gras, Ash Wednesday, and President's Day. Here at FCC, we are rounding the corner on winter and looking forward to springtime and the many activities leading to the most holy of all holidays, Easter Sunday on April 5th.

Elders for February are Rick Strunk and Gail Baker. Deacons are Deanna Darr, John Baker, Hilary Baker, and Karli Queen.

  1. Services for February 1st have been canceled due to road conditions and temperatures. Try out some home worship practices for the Lord's day instead.

  1. Wednesday night adult Bible study will not resume on February 4th as previously announced, but has been postponed until March 4th. Faith Quest still meets every Wednesday.

  1. February 8th, Pastor Tibbs will begin a new series of sermons called Shadows of Christ. This seven-week series will explore Jesus as found in the Old Testament.

February 8th will also be our annual Souper Bowl Sunday will be after services. Sure, it might have something to do with a big football game, but it's really comfort food and fellowship. Souper Bowl is a dinner presented by our church youth featuring several kinds of soup (of course) and other goodies. Donations will go to our youth programs.

  1. February 15th will be the day for a board meeting, postponed a week because of the dinner.

  1. February 18th is Ash Wednesday, when we have our special service to confer ashes and begin the season of Lent. The service is at 6, and a light dinner will be served at 5.

This calendar will be updated and/or corrected when changes happen.
