A Joyous New Addition to the FCC Family

On Father's Day, FCC was proud to see a baby dedication! Andy and Bailee Moore presented their new son Weston to the church. The ceremony was originally scheduled for Mother's Day, but was postponed because Grandpa was battling an illness and couldn't be there. Father's Day was just as appropriate, and four generations of Weston's family filled several pews to celebrate the occasion.

A baby dedication is an informal practice in many Protestant churches, and is not required as a Biblical rite, unlike baptism or communion. Rather, it is a joyous ritual to welcome a new child into our community of believers, and to confirm a pledge from the parents and from the congregation to love and raise the child in the Christian faith. It does not imply dedicating a child to any particular church, but to our Lord.

Andy and I would like to thank the church for the continued guidance and support. We look forward to seeing Weston grow into a strong man of God surrounded by his family and the church.

We are tickled to death to have this sweet baby as a part of the FCC family! Everyone who sees Weston can't help but smile and feel better about everything.
