Joyce Fox rose to address the congregation during the worship service last Sunday. In case you missed it, here is what she said from her written notes. Sadly, I do not have documentation of her witty asides- you had to be there. She gave me permission to post this.

Dear FCC members, this was written to you.

In my current battle with cancer, I've needed to remember that my God knows all the details and He reminds me that whatever the situation is- it's in His hands, and He's with me all the way! And I'm not alone. He walks with me every day/night, through so many of you here at First Christian Church.

Thank you for the calls, the cards, the invitations to lunch, the rides to appointments, the daily rides to therapy, and for maintaining a smile on your face each time we meet. But my last treatment day will live in my heart forever. I was in much pain that day, but ringing the bell and seeing your smiling faces and all the hugs put everything in God's perspective!

First Christian Church, Corbin, Kentucky, is filled with God's loving, kind, and generous people, who follow the Lord's example of how to live. I'm so glad my family joined with all of you back in 1985!

Remember, let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for he who loves his fellow man has fulfilled the law.

Thanks!

Amen
